Teaching Your Dog to Shake
One of the easiest dog tricks! Very useful when meeting new people. You can build on this behavior to a hi-five and a wave.
- get your dog’s attention in a sit.
- say "shake".
- reach down and lift his paw physically, pause,
- then give him a treat while holding his paw
- say "good shake, good shake".
- release his paw and repeat.
That's easy.
