Nicole Maples

Nicole has been professionally teaching dog training classes since she became an accredited pet trainer in 2003. She spent 10 years working as an Area Trainer for a large pet retail chain where she was responsible for training all newly hired pet trainers, traveled to other stores to evaluate the on going progress of current pet trainers and provided them with support. Before joining TLCAD, Nicole ran her own dog training business and facility for three years. She was excited to join TLCAD and have the opportunity to train dogs that will have a positive impact on people’s lives. She currently is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Certified Evaluator, a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, an approved mentor for the Boy Scout’s “Dog Care” Merit Badge, and an active member of the Alliance of Therapy Dogs.

Nicole grew up an active member of 4-H and FFA. She attended Modesto Junior College where she completed the Veterinary Technician Program, during which time she worked at Grantline Veterinary Hospital in Tracy, CA as a Veterinary Technician for two years. In time, she would graduate with a degree in Animal Science from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo. Nicole has worked with a wide range of animals, and currently owns a Mini Pig that knows as many tricks as the dogs! Nicole stays busy working with her own dogs and enjoys participating in many different dog sports.
