Marianne Waldrop retired from the United States Marine Corps after 22 years of active duty service. She has served worldwide, in places like Camp Lejeune, NC; Camp Pendleton, CA; Misawa, Japan; Tampa, Florida and most recently aboard Marine Corps Air Station-Miramar, CA. During her career, she led hundreds of Marines while deployed in support of combat operations during Desert Shield/Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Since her retirement in 2011, Marianne is pursuing her doctorate in Leadership Studies at the University of San Diego in hopes of taking her expertise back to the local community. Her scholastic passion lies in women’s leadership development and the factors that influence girls in their emergence as leaders. She is an avid golfer and volunteers with four organizations in support of animals, kids and seniors.
